Dear Colleagues and Friends,
We are more than thrilled to launch a conference on 18-19 November 2022 and writing to seek your help to circulate the captioned invitation to your faculty and postgraduate students.
Higher education around the world is still feeling the tremendous impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, but that is just one of the pressing challenges affecting the sector. In different ways, institutions everywhere must also come to terms with a wide range of issues linked to nationalism, protectionism, and increasing geopolitical tensions among the major powers. The effects of the pandemic dramatically hindered international mobility for students and scholars. And while “going online” made it possible to continue classes and academic exchanges in a virtual environment, the experience also brought to light clear inequalities of access and opportunity in key areas of higher education.
Held at Lingnan University in Hong Kong, the Conference for Higher Education Research – Hong Kong 2022 is a multidisciplinary conference co-organised by Lingnan University (Hong Kong) and the Asia Pacific Higher Education Research Partnership (APHERP), and in collaboration with the University of Oxford (United Kingdom) and Peking University (Mainland China). This event also receives the support from the University of Bath (United Kingdom), National Chengchi University (Taiwan), University of Stavanger (Norway), and Durham University (United Kingdom).
There will be a special focus on the following topics:
Researchers, faculty, and postgraduate students are welcome to participate either as presenters or participants at this conference. The Zoom link will be available soon. Stay tuned
