Phil Baty leads on government partnerships and global affairs at Times Higher Education, the trusted data, insights, consultancy and events partner to universities, corporates and governments worldwide. With over 25 years in the sector, Phil: developed the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings and its derivative analyses (as rankings editor for over a decade between 2008 and 2019); he created the THE World Academic Summit and oversaw its expansion into the world’s preeminent series of university leadership and policy events; and he led the team that developed and launched the Global Sustainable Development Congress and the sector-leading “Digital Universities” international events series.
In this webinar, Phil Baty, chief global affairs officer at Times Higher Education, will share the most up-to-date data trend analysis for Taiwanese universities in THE’s flagship university ranking systems: the World University Rankings, designed for global research-led universities; and the Impact Rankings, designed to assess universities’ social and economic impact, around the framework provided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The session will include a special focus on the Impact Rankings, a pioneering new way to understand university excellence through a different lens and to incentivise and reward good practice in supporting sustainable development.
